Week 7, Week 8 and Week 9: Biweekly Journal of School Internship
Introduction:
This was the final three weeks of our internship and it was a different experience because I started teaching in VII so that I could finish my requisite lesson plans. Dealing with them as a teacher was an interesting experience.
Day 26: 30 September 2024
I was sick, but I still went to school. I was lucky that I only had VII to teach today, which was teaching them about transparency. I helped Sarath sir today as well.
Day 27: 01 October 2024
I got to be invigilator for the re-test of Onam exam for some students from X. Second period was VII. Taught 5th period in VIII, and 6th period in IX. I was stung by a wasp on this day and my hand was swollen for almost a week.
Day 28: 03 October 2024
I was still managing the pain from the wasp sting. I had the whole day busy as well taught classes in VIII and VII.
Day 29: 04 October 2024
I had a light workload and only had to manage V in some free periods.
Day 30: 07 October 2024
Taught in VII, VII, and IX. Demonstration lessons in VIII went well.
Day 31: 08 October 2024
Once again, classes in VII, VIII, and IX.
.Day 32: 09 October 2024
Taught classes in IX and VII.
Day 33: 10 October 2024
Conducted conscientization program about mental health because it was World Mental Health Day.

Conducted performance test in VIII. Taught in VII, and IX.
Day 34:14 September 2024
Only had class in VII. Taught about reflection of light further.
Day 35: 15 September 2024
Taught light pollution in VII, with more example than in the curriculum. I am almost finished with my assigned portion in VIII by discussing spherical mirrors.
Day 36: 16 October 2024
There was a noon feast by the children of a teacher who used to teach in this school. We helped with the management of that. I taught mass and weight in IX.
Day 37: 17 October 2024
Sarath sir got appointment in HSS and left the school. It was a bittersweet affair. Taught in VIII and IX.
Day 38: 18 October 2024
Finished my portion in IX, teaching centripetal force.
Day 39-46: 21-30 October 2024
I have finished my portions and had an uneventful last few days.
Conclusion
This was a bittersweet ending to our first phase of teaching. We knew we were coming back here in a few weeks but it still felt like the end of an era. We have learned so much from this internship.

- Simulations are useful in teaching
- I could use more ICT enabled teaching in the future
